CARDIAC

1. Procedures used in Diagnosis:

• Coronary Angiography: This procedure allows us to view the blood vessels of the heart.
• 24-Hour Holter Monitoring: A portable ECG that records your heart’s activity throughout the day.

2. Procedures used for the treatment of heart-related issues:

• Coronary Angioplasty: A procedure that opens blocked arteries in the heart.
• Percutaneous Trans-septal Mitral Commissurotomy (PTMC): A procedure that widens a narrowed heart valve, thus improving heart function.
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump: A device that helps the heart pump more effectively.

3. Device Placement and Care:

• Pacemaker Implantation (Temporary and Permanent) which regulates your heartbeat.
• Intra-Cardiac Defibrillator Implantation which manages irregular heart rhythms.
• Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Device: This device improves heart function, especially for certain heart failure patients.
• Pacemaker Programming: In this activity, adjustments are made to suit patients’ specific needs.

NON CARDIAC

1. Peripheral and Cerebral Vascular Procedures:

• Digital subtraction angiography (DSA): It is a special scan that helps see vessels more clearly by highlighting them with a contrast dye.
• Angioplasty with stenting: A treatment to open blocked blood vessels. A small balloon is used to widen the vessel, and a tiny tube (stent) is placed to keep it open.
• Coiling as well as temporary and permanent embolization: These are methods to stop blood flow to a certain area. Coiling involves putting tiny coils in the vessel, while embolization uses materials to block it, often used to treat aneurysms or stop bleeding.

2. Implantation Procedures:

• Perma-Cath Implantation which is a catheter placed for dialysis or medication administration.
• PICC Line Implantation involves a catheter inserted in a vein for intravenous treatments.
• Percutaneous Nephrostomy (PCN) which is a tube placed in the kidney to drain urine due to blockage.
