JOB SUMMARY:

• To work under the direction of the pharmacists and in conjunction with a dispensary assistant.

• To efficiently manage the clerical and preparatory work associated dispensing.
• Assisting the pharmacists and back counter staff to ensure that patient familiar with their medications and recommending appropriate OTC medications. To be involve and intervene in the sale of pharmacists only medicines
• Assisting with the accurate preparation of Unit Dose Packs for in-Pakistan
• Assisting the pharmacists in providing counseling

• Assist the pharmacists to conduct medication review on patient
• Providing information of various health related topics to pharmacy assistant by way of presentation of answering general queries staff may have
• Work at the back counter to gain experience in different pharmacy situations.
• Work in rotation at the Hospital pharmacy to gain exposure to a hospital pharmacy environment.
• Work on rotation at all pharmacies within the group to assist the pharmacist as per the hospital policy and plan of the department.

• Participate in scholarly activity (e.g. professional publications, podium presentations, poster presentations, and practice based research) through problem identification, literature review, data collection and analysis, independently or in cooperation with other medical and pharmacy staff. --- Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager / Manager.

• Dispense medications to patients accurately and safely by check patient prescription- maintain a record of same to study the importance of medications being provided.
